Monday, June 16, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Natalie,
the Duty Manager. I cut the prospectus of the hotel (papers for customer orders, paper invoices
for customers and papers for restaurant food order). I welcomed the guests of the hotel and when I
didn't understand what they said or I if I was not able to help I would tell
them "I am very sorry but I am on work experience and do not understand,
the receptionist Natalie will be back in a minute”.
Tuesday, June 17, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss
Natalie, the Duty Manager. A customer asked me to search
for an address and a telephone number of a car
circuit. So I went on the site.
But unfortunately I misunderstood his request. I thought he wanted a plan
so I gave him a
print. Nathalie my
tutor intervened and i gave him a paper
address and phone number of the circuit. She also
called the circuit information
for the client to
ask questions. I made the payment of a customer of the hotel by
credit card. This is a special
procedure to follow. First
all I must type the
amount that the customer must pay, then the number of the credit card, the expiration date of
his credit card date confirm that the customer is not present, enter the security
code his credit card, then
the numbers of postal
code and finally the number of the door.
I press enter twice
and two small bills
kinds of electronic
payment terminal. We give a copy
to the customer and we keep one for us. In addition
to the bills that we leave the ADS software.
I took notes in order to make this work without

This work was long but very interesting. I assembled all the bills
yesterday (17.06.2014) for which payment
was effected by
credit card and I make the
total amount. I
wrote the date and amount on a paper I stack
the meeting to order.
I made a second verification
in case of error. I loved doing this work. I learned how to record an order from a customer at the restaurant in the software called ADS. I registered in
the ADS software customer orders that have eaten at the restaurant. I bring customer
orders in the kitchen. I welcomed the guests of the hotel. I cut the paper to customer or I entered a
room reservation on the software
ADS. I make payment by credit card customer. I print the invoice and
I created the confirmation letter
(I did not send confirmation
email because the client does not
have email address). I put the
letter in an envelope with the invoice and brochures of the hotel. I bring customer orders in the
kitchen. I created two questionnaires
of satisfaction for
customers.
Thursday, June 19, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss
Natalie, the Duty
Manager. I got all the books menu (in the bar, restaurant
and kitchen) and I get to the reception. Nathalie to print special menus for
the evening tonight. I put the new menus in green menus books. I clean the books
with a product and a cloth. I served a glass of lemonade to a customer. I cut
papers for customer orders for the restaurant (paper dinner + paper for
beverages etc.).I bring customer orders in the kitchen. I record the day's mail
in the book "post 2014". I created two questionnaires of satisfaction
for customers.
Friday, June 20, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss
Natalie, the Duty
Manager. I put a letter
in an envelope I wrote the address and I stuck
a stamp. I got all the books menu (in the bar, restaurant
and kitchen) and
I get to the reception. I took on all menus for
special soiree last
night (special menus with song Jazz). I cut the prospectus
of the hotel (papers for customer
orders, paper invoices for
customers and papers for restaurant food order). I cut the leaves of paid employees. I bring customer
orders in the kitchen. I record the day's mail in the book "post
2014". I filed documents (Manager
Daily report and
analysis) in the workbook "End of Day". I record the day's
mail in the book "post 2014". I ended up creating
two satisfaction questionnaires for
customers.
