My tasks for my second week

Monday, June 9, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss Zoë. I cut the prospectus of the hotel (papers for customer orders, paper invoices for customers and papers for restaurant food order). I record the day's mail in the book "post 2014". We write in this workbook page of the day "post in" by putting the recipient, the transmitter and the subject of this post. I welcomed the guests of the hotel and when I not understand what I say or I am not able to help I tell them "I am very sorry but I am on work experience and do not understand, the receptionist Charlotte/Zoë will be back in a minute”. I answered the phone. I created the organization chart. I bring customer orders in the kitchen.

Tuesday, June 10, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss Zoë. I cut the prospectus of the hotel. I distribute brochures at the hotel on the tables for two groups of people (a group in the morning, another group afternoon). These are groups of elderly from the social club. Jane Bishop told the history of the hotel. It is a family hotel which has beautiful antiques. People then visit the museum of the hotel and they had a cream tea. I entered the information of a client that are written on the sheet "Accommodation Booking Form” in the computer software called ADS. I welcomed the guests of the hotel. I record the day's mail in the book "post 2014". I bring customer orders in the kitchen. I answered the phone.

Wednesday, June 11, 2014 : I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss Zoë and Miss Charlotte. I record the day's mail in the book "post 2014". I cut the papers used by employees to record their hours of arrival and departure to work, papers for customer orders, paper invoices for customers and papers restaurant food order. I distribute brochures at the hotel on the tables for one group of people. I helped a little in the kitchen. I polish silverware it is called silver polishing, when you put the cutlery into boiling water with lemon and this shines the cutlery. I entered the information of a client that are written on the sheet "Accommodation Booking Form” in the computer software called ADS. I highlighted an important sentence on the papers restaurant food order. I classified the Accommodation Booking Form in a folder “booking form folder” by date. I welcomed the guests of the hotel. I bring customer orders in the kitchen.

Thursday, June 12, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss Charlotte. I classified the Accommodation Booking Form in a folder “booking form folder” by date. I welcomed the guests of the hotel. I bring customer orders in the kitchen. I record the day's mail in the book "post 2014". I classified invoices with purchase orders in the corresponding folder "Delivery Notes". The Walpole Bay Hotel have an online booking system where people book and pay online. We have received the accounts. I therefore need to take all the correct invoices out of the folder and put them into a pile to match with the invoice. They take a percentage of the money that the guests pay online.


Friday, June 13, 2014: I worked at the front desk receptionist with Miss Zoe. I entered the information of a client that are written on the sheet "Accommodation Booking Form” in the computer software called ADS. I classified the Accommodation Booking Form in a folder “booking form folder” by date. I welcomed the guests of the hotel. I bring customer orders in the kitchen. I do my weekly report.
